A Bit About Me
I am Luyanda Msweli, a passionate and innovative final-year BA Interior Design student with a deep appreciation for creating spaces that are both functional and meaningful. Inspired by South Africa's rich cultural heritage, I weave traditional aesthetics with contemporary design to craft environments that tell unique stories.
Throughout my studies, I have honed my skills in secondary research methods like Site Analysis, Client Analysis, and Precedent Studies, complemented by primary strategies like Personas, User Journey Maps, and Stakeholder Mapping. My designs are informed by human-centered principles and guided by sustainability and inclusivity.
I have a particular interest in product design, focusing on creating customizable furniture and fabrics that celebrate South African identity. My goal is to honor tradition while pushing the boundaries of modern design, blending the two seamlessly to create innovative, immersive spaces.
Driven, creative, and forward-thinking, I am eager to contribute my skills and vision to projects that make a lasting impact.
